What TaylorMade Say:
The 2017 M2 driver brings golfers a new level of distance and forgiveness through all-new Geocoustic technology. Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the M2 driver successfully raises the bar in design and engineering through reinvented multi-material construction and advanced geometric shaping. Along with the new Geocoustic design, the M2 driver houses a new Speed Pocket that is three times more flexible than it was in the original M2. Combined, the new M2 takes the #1 selling driver to the next level of performance for all players. The new lower density 9-1-1 Titanium body, 6-layer carbon composite crown and minimal sound ribs allowed for 25g of discretionary mass to be relocated low and back in the sole of the club. Together, these applications combine to increase the overall inertia of the M2 driver without sacrificing low CG, hot trajectory, or aerodynamic performance.
Features & Benefits:
- Ultra Lightweight Loft Sleeve - Now with a total of 4 degrees adjustability in loft the new lighter sleeve allows for a total of 12 settings.
- Multi-Material Construction - A 6 Layer weave in the crown allows engineers to reduce the weight further than before, ensuring a higher MOI (Forgiveness Value). This is fitted to a titanium body for maximum performance.
- Geocoustic Technology - By indenting the sole of the new M2 engineers can make the sweet spot slightly bigger without moving beyond legal limits. As the name indicates this also enhances sound of the face drastically.
- Speed Pocket - A new generation Speed Pocket has been introduced, its deeper and wider than before. This ensures better balls speeds and distances on miss hit shots low on the face.
Our Recommended Player Profile:
Ideally suited to the slightly slower or higher handicap player, the new M2 is an all-rounder. It features great looks, feel and distance to most players. Even Rory Mcilroy has opted for this in his bag over the M1 seeking less workability and more forgiveness levels.
